Zipclip Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 17, 2026

Zipclip is a video editing product. Users can upload video, audio, and transcripts so Zipclip can match content, create captions, edit footage, and export video. This policy explains how Zipclip handles sign-in data, user-provided content, and service records.

1. Operating brand and contact

The operating brand of this service is Zipclip. For questions or requests to access, correct, or delete data, email support@nildev.net. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or other login secrets.

2. Data we process

Google sign-in data

Zipclip uses the basic OpenID Connect scopes openid, email, and profile. Depending on Google’s response, we may receive a Google account identifier, email address, display name, avatar, and other basic profile information.

This data is used only to create or access a Zipclip account, link a Google account, display basic account information, and handle account security and support. Zipclip does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, or Contacts through Google sign-in.

Email and password sign-in

Supabase Auth handles email and password sign-in, email confirmation, password recovery, and session verification. Zipclip processes the email address, Supabase user identifier, sign-in state, and authentication events needed to operate the account. Zipclip does not receive the user’s plain-text password.

User content and technical records

Users may provide video, audio, transcripts, scripts, project settings, and editing instructions. Zipclip may create captions, speech or text processing results, intermediate project data, previews, and exported videos.

To operate and secure the service, Zipclip may process request times, paths, response status, request IDs, authentication and job state, file metadata, and necessary browser or device information.

3. How data is used

Data is used to create and secure accounts, associate users with their workspaces and projects, provide requested editing and export features, maintain service security, troubleshoot errors, provide support, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Third-party services and sharing

Google provides basic sign-in data after authorization, and Supabase Auth processes authentication and sessions. Providers of storage, computing, speech recognition, AI processing, or email delivery may process necessary data only to provide the requested service.

Zipclip does not sell Google sign-in data or share it with third parties for advertising. Personal data is disclosed only when necessary to provide the service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, or with the user’s consent.

5. Browser storage

Supabase Auth uses browser storage to persist sign-in sessions. Zipclip may also use sessionStorage or localStorage for password recovery state, interface theme, and selected preferences. Clearing this data may require the user to sign in or configure preferences again.

6. Retention and deletion

Zipclip keeps data only while needed to provide the service, maintain security, support users, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations. Backups, security records, and legally required data may remain until their applicable retention periods end.

Email support@nildev.net to request access, correction, or deletion. We may request information sufficient to verify account ownership. See Account and data deletion for details.

7. Revoking Google access

Users can remove Zipclip from the Google Account third-party connections page. Revoking access stops future sign-in through that authorization but does not automatically delete the Zipclip account or stored project data. A separate deletion request is required.

8. Security and updates

Zipclip uses Supabase Auth, account and project authorization checks, controlled file access, and other reasonable safeguards. No internet transmission or electronic storage method can guarantee absolute security.

Policy updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be explained through the website or product when appropriate.
